It’s a given that mental preparation is key to readying yourself for any postal test. In addition to this, you need to prepare yourself physically as well. While you may be sitting in front of a computer screen for the postal exam 473-e (or any postal battery test, for that matter), part of your success will also hinge on how alert and active you are on the day of the test. To be able to do that, you need to do more than just reading and answering your study guides. You also need to see to it that your body is ready for the mental challenge.

You have an edge if you are already an exercise buff. You are already active and alert physically. Don’t change your routine. Just continue with your regular exercise schedule and set your study hours before or after you do your exercise! choose which one is most comfortable for you. If you’re not yet following a regular exercise routine, do light exercises (e.g. 15-30 minutes of walking or jogging) on the month or days before the exam. If you only have a week to prepare for the postal test, don’t overly stress your body by engaging in a new and rigorous exercise routine.

A major part of physical preparation for any postal exam is eating right. Add more greens and whole grains to your diet. Keep the fat consumption in moderation. They don’t only add to your waistline, they also make you feel sluggish and sleepy. You don’t want that when you’re in the middle of test preparations. Success in exams like the postal test 473-e relies on your speed and accuracy so you want to be active and alert while preparing for and on the day of the test. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole wheat, and fish will not only make you healthier, it will also add more fuel to your brain and will help keep your focus during the exam.

Before the day of the test, get a good night’s rest. Six to eight hours of sleep will do – remember that oversleeping is as bad as under-sleeping. Make sure that you eat a healthy breakfast. Before the test is about to start, go to the bathroom to urinate. it would be impossible for you to finish the postal exam with a good score if you do this while the exam is already in progress.

Don’t forget to breathe while preparing for the test and during taking it. Doing so will help you calm your nerves and lessen your mental stress.
